Mike Modano scored his first power-play goal in 1988 while playing for the Minnesota North Stars. He finally broke the franchise record 17 years later - long after the team moved to Texas.

Modano set the mark in the second period on Sunday and Niko Kapanen added a short-handed goal to send the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Modano notched his 135th man-advantage goal at 6:18 of the middle frame.
