Sergei Fedorov's one-timer 35 seconds into overtime gave the Columbus Blue Jackets a 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.
It was Fedorov's 14th career overtime goal, tying Mats Sundin for the NHL record.
Dallas, playing a skeleton lineup while resting many of its top players for the playoffs, scored three goals in a span of 3:36 early in the third period to take a 4-3 lead.

With nothing at stake but the sting of having blown a two-goal lead, Daley fired in the winning goal with 33.7 seconds left in overtime to give the Stars a 4-3 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.

The Dallas Stars extended coach Dave Tippett's contract through the 2008 season after exercising a one-year option Monday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Stars, in the fourth season under Tippett, are 48-20-3 and in second place in the Western Conference. Since being named head coach in 2002, Tippett's record of 135-68-30 is the NHL's best among active coaches.
